Sire  PASSION FOR GOLD  (Medaglia d Oro – C’ Est L’ Amour) is off to a big start with his first California crop to race. He  was represented by Gold Council who  became the first California winner in his first start for his sire PASSION FOR GOLD by winning a Maiden Special Weight on the turf at Santa Anita on closing day.  Trained by Kristin Mulhall, Gold Council won going away by 2 1/2 lengths 

PASSION FOR GOLD  was a Grade1 winner of the Criterium Saint Cloud and  Champion Two-Year-Old  in France for Godolphin.  He was purchased and stood 5 breeding seasons in Chile siring Graded Stakes horses in Chile and Peru with earnings over $2,700,000.00   His  runners  have an outsanding  82% winners.

He returned to the United States to stand at Milky Way Farm in Temecula, California.
